Fundamental Movie Production (Course Code 02)

This course provides students with a comprehensive fundamental training in movie production. It helps students develop their creativity and sense of art appreciation. Small-class teaching will be adopted to facilitate students' participation in a wide range of learning activities. Site visits and/or placement will be arranged so as to give students more exposure and in-depth training in the movie industry.

Script writing
Lighting
Sound
Production and management of sets and props
Costumes design and production
Computer editing (AVID DV EXPRESS)

Post production

Small class teaching
Emphasis on both theory and practice
Lectures by professionals and practitioners of the field
Workshop and training at 10,000 sq ft Digital Media Centre at Cyberport
State-of-the-art facilities, hardware, software and professional movie production equipment and support
 
 
Prospect:
This course helps the students build a solid foundation for a career in the movie industry. They will become more competent if they wish to enter the workforce in related industries.
 
Upon completion of the course, students may have an internship opportunity and/ or job placement in local movie production house and to enhance the skills they have learned.
 
The qualification obtained will be recognized when seeking admission to post-secondary level courses offered by Caritas Community and Higher Education Service. Graduates will benefit when pursuing further studies in related disciplines / courses offered by local and overseas higher education institutes.
