Staff Development
Developing professional awareness and improving work-specific competence should go side by side. We fully realize for staff development, there needs a combination of training, development and thinking, appropriate at all levels, for teachers in the classroom and for colleagues working in the support units. In the light of this, we devise our staff development provision as follows:
Internal Staff Development Programmes:
Orientation for both teaching and clerical staff
Induction seminar for new teachers
Seminars/workshops/talks
Panel meetings and sharing sessions for teachers
Reflection camps/days for administrators, assistant administrators, secretarial, clerical and
technical staff
Part-time courses with fee remission
External Professional Development Opportunities:
Courses/Seminars/Workshops offered by the Education Bureau and local higher education institutions
International/Local education conferences
Degree/Postgraduate diploma/higher degree bearing programmes offered by the local and overseas higher education institutions
